Dylan Marks

CO-OWNER AND GUIDE

Dylan has been chasing rivers ever since his rookie season in Stehekin, Washington back in 2012. He grew up in this small North Cascades community. It’s where he developed a love and appreciation for the outdoors and community. Since then he has worked on rivers in Oregon, Colorado, and Utah, as well as two seasons raft guiding on the tropical rivers of Costa Rica.

He earned a degree in Outdoor Recreation at Western Washington University. Here, his desire to share his love for the outdoors grew and eventually led him to work in outdoor education. Dylan has also worked for the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry and Outward Bound. For Outward Bound in Moab, Utah he has led whitewater rafting, canyoning, and backpacking courses ranging from 7 to 30 days.

In winters, he spends his time in Winthrop, Washington working at Old Schoolhouse Brewery and substitute teaching for the Methow Valley School District. Additionally, he loves to rock out as the guitar player for the local band, the Bitterroot Beets. When not working, skiing, or playing music, he can often be found at the local coffee shop daydreaming about his next travel plans.

Dylan's love for the river is apparent. He is a firm believer that a river trip, no matter the length, is one of the best ways to make new connections, build community, and foster a deeper connection with the outdoors.
