Whitewater Guide Training

Ever wondered what it would be like to be at the helm of a raft as you approach a roaring rapid?  Our guide training gives you the experience and education you need to safely guide clients down whitewater rivers.  Our guides and staff have a wealth of river knowledge and are passionate about spending time on the river.  

We love sharing our river experience with future guides and fellow boaters!  Our guide training program is designed for both aspiring commercial guides and recreational boaters looking to gain experience and skills for personal river trips.  Our intensive, multi-day training program meets and exceeds Washington State's Outfitter Licensing requirements.

Personalized Kayak Instruction

Our instructors have a wealth of river knowledge and are passionate about sharing their river experience with fellow boaters!  Instructors at Methow River Raft + Kayak are industry experts and teaching professionals that can tailor an instructional program around your individual goals and experience.  

Our kayak instruction focuses on skill building, while learning to paddle safely and with sound judgement.  In addition to spending time perfecting technical paddling techniques, we want all of our students to build a solid foundation as a boater and focus on river reading, self-rescue and risk management as an integral part of all or our kayak lessons.

Roll Sessions

Through our partnership with River Run Inn we are able to offer indoor, year round pool time for roll practice.  Roll sessions are offered for both beginning paddlers learning roll fundamentals and experienced paddlers looking to brush up on their roll at the beginning of the season.
